Durable Engineering Coatings Built for Performance

Phosphate conversion coating is a chemical treatment applied to steel parts that creates a thin adhering layer of iron, zinc, or manganese phosphates to improve corrosion resistance or lubrication or as a foundation for subsequent coatings or painting. It is one of the most common types of conversion coating. manganese phosphate coating.

This coating is predominantly used for lubrication purposes and anti-galling. Manganese Phosphate is the hardest of all phosphate coatings and is typically used on fittings, fasteners, bearings and bushes. Because of its oil absorptive properties it is also used on any fittings that slide against one another and is widely used in engines and transmissions on cylinder liners, piston rings, camshafts, differential gears and transmission
gears.

Because of its high anti corrosion properties, it’s great for the mining and oil and gas industry where components and subjected to rust. Ideal for components such as hydraulic cylinder pins and bushes. The coating is applied in a heated treatment bath and is applied to the substrate of the material so dimensionally the part size does not change.
